  • What I have trouble understanding is where I do this? As I don't see "banks of england". There is one in Leeds I think, can I post them RMSD?

All I am asking is how I can make this legit spending money/banked. Once done he receives 100% I will get pic of one of the £10 notes it's stange....

as for the confusion he doesn't remember storing them there which was a long time ago. What I am doing is sticking a safe in for him so he keeps important docs and money, etc there.

The Bank of England does not have branches - you need to go to London or send the notes (special delivery you can get insurance for up to 2500k so would need two packets) as the link in the first reply says.

Some other banks may be able to help you- it is worth asking your bank.

Or ask around the coin and money collectors shops with a few sample notes, one may be willing to buy them at face value, or more.

You can find out what notes they are by the date or looking here:

If those notes really were collectable, just selling the bundle on ebay would be pretty quick way to convert it into something safer then paper.

Set the min price to the face value

If you follow the link in the first reply you will see what you can do to exchange them.

However, don't ignore the suggestions that they could be worth more then face value to a collector.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

I wouldn't be brave or knowledgable enough to risk being scammed on a £5k ebay transaction.

  • grow some balls then and start reading.

I, myself, would be interested in some of the notes ... ! Certainly not all though.

I quite fancy a "white £5 note" actually.

Now this is the post shortcrust should have been upset at. WE did say the english was poor and asked for clarification ( I for one did understand he had a safe to keep it in for GF).

But at least innovate and I did not say to a special needs person to "grow some balls and get reading" given reading can be the problem here and the size of your gonads makes no difference?

I agree, Tony do look at the link in Post 2. And consult a coin/banknote dealer first as advised.

If you don't have one in your town, you can ask here, or try Google for your nearest and you can call them?

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

The first line was very much tongue in cheek, but the sentiment is still there.

I seem to have completely missed that. I read "my english can be poor"

To reiterate - sell the notes on ebay ... and not in bulk, do them one or a few at time. You'll get far more money for them!
