Wow...nice and cheap!
Just need to find £15 now...0 -
I actually bought one of these last week at the higher price but even then it was a bargain. Small enough to fit into your back pocket and perfect for backups. I have just ordered another for family as having a decent backup is invaluable.0

will this work with an in car stereo with a USB port or my DAB radio which has a USB port??0

Does this drive power from the usb port or do you need to plug in an external power supply?0

Indeed. Funny how the Google Checkout blurb talks about £10 the first time you use it, yet this is the second time I've used it and the discount still happened!sockpuppetuk wrote: »£10 discount google checkout.
I wondered this. I think it works from the USB port or they would have included a power supply. It's possible it comes with a double plug lead where it takes up two ports to get twice the power out. Generally the little ones (based on notebook hard drives) can be USB powered.overworked_underpaid wrote:Does this drive power from the usb port or do you need to plug in an external power supply?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
It takes it power over USB. Its got a y splitter at the computer end, use just one of both depending on the computer. My desktop powers it with one, the laptop needs both. No hassle though.0

Confirmed: The Mini draws power from the computer, to help free you from carrying around an extra power cord.
I see why they're so cheap - the 60Gb isn't produced any more. Hardly a problem.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Once the enclosure is cracked open, whats inside ?
Is it a standard 2.5 laptop drive or something else ?
Would love to know if the internal HD can be put in to a 2.5'' media player enclosure (like those available on ebay) and play Divx on the telly.0
