My three have either porridge (often chocolatey! tut tut), beans on toast or scrambled egg on toast. None of which take very long...

I make up porridge in a batch (3/4mornings worth - it always keeps in the fridge). I just add the milk, boil, simmer for a minute. Divide into portions, cool and put in the back of the fridge. Then in the morning microwave for 30 seconds and you have yummy hot porridge. It looks really thick when you cool it in the fridge but just warm it and stir in an extra spoonful of milk or water. My eldest likes honey mixed in and my youngest likes it plain.
My youngest likes peanut butter and toast and a peace of fruit. I have been making my own butter from healthier nuts (almonds etc) but using the food processor and mixing the homemade nut butter with the peanut butter to make it healthier and cheaper without changing the taste.
Not healthy but the eldest will eat toast with chocolate/hazelnut spread. She also likes a bit of honey on toast.
Eldest is quite keen on the Tesc0 own cereals I just bought on offer for 3 for 2. I bought the strawberry yoghurt version, the muesli and the fruit and fibre. The yoghurt version is the favourite! She would only eat branded co-co pops, rice krispies etc. but I just stopped offering them and she hasn't mentioned it in a few days.
For a change we might have egg (microwave scrambled egg or boil and peel egg the night before) or pancakes (like others have said mix up the batter the night before and leave in fridge).
Sometimes I make up a smoothie the night before (if they only like shop bought smoothie make it up while they are asleep and pour it into the branded carton). Would have a pancake or muffin with a smoothie.
A bagel is a nice change too.
Both of mine love an apple or banana or a handful of grapes with their breakfast.
The muffins that Tinks have suggested sound delicious - I am trying to minimize wheat and yeast in our diet and this sounds delicious! Thank you very much.Debt December 2012 - Approx £4070...

40g flaxseed in a bowl, add 4 tablespoons of boiling water, mix, leave for 2 mins then I add a little bit of single cream, sprinkle on cinnamon and eat!If you don't ask, you don't get!0 -
True, but it still takes more time than opening a box of cereal, pouring it into a bowl and then pouring on the milk.
We make a few days worth at once and store in fridge once chilled. Then simply spoon out what you want and heat for 30 secs in m/wave. It helps to make it a tad runnier than you normally would.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I bang on about this every time somebody asks about filling breakfasts, but a protein smoothie is cheap (if you buy cheap protein powder and not the fancy stuff), filling, and dead easy for kids to make by themselves if you have a suitable blender. We have a Magic Bullet type blender and even a small child could use it safely.
The beauty of the protein smoothies is that you can make them with milk or water, and add any sort of fruit or extra ingredients that you like, and be guaranteed a filling meal that is very quick to prepare.0 -

Porridge in the bowl with milk and/or water - microwave on medium 2.5 mins - can't get much quicker than that!
