Ebay problem buyers stats?

Hi all - a number of posts here are complaints about dodgy buyers/sellers - and from reading through the threads there is dissatisfaction about the systems that are in place to resolve disputes.
Are any regular sellers able to give a rough indication of the percentage of their trades that cause them grief?

Real grief, about 1 in 800-1000 sales, minor niggles about 1 in 100 or so.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I concur from a seller point of view about 1 in 1000. It's obvious that people wont come on a site like this to report a run of the mill or even a good transaction.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. That's the reason I asked! I'm trying to get a handle on the extent of problems as I have never seen a post here along the lines of "well, that's another month of trouble free trading!"
I have just retired and am looking for something to keep me busy but I'm not looking to take anything up that's going to involve a lot of hassle.

I'm with the other posters here, I've probably got a better rate too, at a guess one in 1500. The painful customers do cause more stress than all the others put together. Obviously we get other occasional complaints, they're usually from an odd mistake we've made and most customers are happy for us to sort it out.
The only other problem out of our control is delayed and occasional lost post.
Generally speaking you get out what you put in. Describe well, pack well, post on time or early, offer a good price and good service and you'll have few problems.
There are some high risk categories with more problems (mobile phones, laptops, games, etc) but even in those categories the clued up sellers don't have many problems..0 -
I would say that over my 4000 odd transactions I have had 2 very difficult customers that I can recall, and a few minor problems along the way - I am not including lost items that I have had to refund.
I am also more relaxed now about problems and thanks to this forum I have learned to deal with whatever is thrown my way!0 -
I've been eBaying for nearly 4 years and so far I haven't had a genuinely difficult eBayer to deal with.
In a couple of cases, the people I've dealt with weren't particularly nice, but in life I've found you can't like everyone,
However, in the the thread I've posted today I've mentioned a person who might claiming an INR, and this could be my first awkward one!
But that's not bad in 4 yearsEarly retired - 18th December 2014
