Trying to reinstall Foxit

I'm trying to reinstall Foxit and want to know how to make sure I've removed all components, if there are any. I believe I need to uninstall Foxit before reinstalling. I hit something a while ago and not sure what it was I clicked on, I've not been able to open pdf files since, reason for reinstalling.
I'm also never sure when reinstalling something like this, should I click run or save when reinstalling?
TIA

FoxIt without the ToolBar
Save if you want to save the program to your HDD and for virus scans etc. If you choose to Run, then run something like CCleaner to clean up afterwards.
After install go to Tools > Preferences > General and remove the tick from Show Start Page, then go to View and towards the bottom of the list and remove the tick from Advertisement.0 -
I've only got round to trying to sort out my predicament with opening pdf files with Foxit Reader as I decided to carry on using the library for convenience instead of having the hassle of downloading this to my laptop.
I've reinstalled Foxit as best as I can, checked all folders and appear to have downloaded OK though when I try opening pdf files it keeps going to Windows Media Centre instead of opening pdf files when I click open. Does anyone know how to fix this?0 -
Try right click pdf file you want to open
Scroll down to open with
Chose default programme
Look for fox it then click ok0 -
Thanks.
Just realised what I did earlier as well, instead of downloading this on to my laptop via the link posted by NiftyDigits I downloaded it directly from Foxit's website. Don't know if this wll make any difference to the instructions he posted. Don't see any toolbar after downloading either.0 -

Nothing is happening. I'm trying to print an easyjet boarding boarding pass and is saying Print All or Download All, these are both links. I know this isn't what you telling me to do though the only thing I can see when I right click on these is properties. When I click on the links I've mentioned it instructs me to open or save the pdf, I can't right click on that either.
I'll see if I can print this out at work instead in the meantime. Otherwise I'll pop into town and use one of the printers in the library.
Thanks DS.0 -
Right click a PDF File, click properties, see what is there for opens with, if it isn't Foxit (likely), click change then select Foxit, though you may need to click browse to look for it in its programme files folder to click the icon listed as application, click apply0

I'm not getting anywhere with Foxit, it's becoming a headache and I appear to be going round in circles. I've decided to uninstall it and replace it with Adobe reader for the time being.
The only this is, I'm not sure how to uninstall Foxit. I've checked on Foxit's website though what it suggests doesn't seem to do anything.
Does anyone know how to uninstall it?
Sorry if I'm being a pain in the neck though I must get my boarding pass printed off fairly soon. Otherwise I'll head down to the library and get it printed off there instead. This is no big deal, nevertheless I would like to sort my predicament out with my laptop and Foxit.
Thanks again for all help received.0 -
Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program not working for you?
If you've installed the Toolbar, remove it too0 -
That's just it, nothing is showing. I did exactly what you've mentioned after checking Foxit's website and can't see anything under Programs and Features. No sign of Foxit.0
