Two Barclaycards - Different interest rates

Hello. I have two Barclaycards, although one of them used to be an Egg Card until taken over by Barclaycard. My original card has a better interest rate than the card that was originally with Egg. Is there any harm, or are there any pitfalls, in writing to Customer Services and asking if they would reduce the interest rate on one card to something like they are offering me on the other..Any thoughts? Thanks.

No harm in asking. Probably quicker by phone, taking a note of the time/name if they promise something you later wish to rely on!

Else consider applying for another card and doing a BT. (Obviously you can't BT from one Barclaycard to another.)

Alternatively, perhaps they'd be prepared to merge the accounts, "consolidating" both balances onto the lower interest card.
