Thanks that looks good, I'm wondering if that might be a present idea for my Dads birthday in May, but not sure if it would fit in the kitchen as its a small one.

Does anyone know to add milk has it got to be capsules? Mum and me have soya milk in drinks and I'm not aware there is a soya milk capsule. Costa's use soya milk but from cartons.

I'm not a coffee drinker but my Dad is and currently uses a cafetiere and I don't ow much about coffee machines! But am looking for birthday ideas.

I've changed the title for you so it better describes what the deal is.

really good machine, makes great coffee's and tea!

pod's seem ok price wise altho maybe not the cheapest in the super market, we found Tesco seems a little better for pod prices and have more of a selection.

Fab....u....lars Joe81 thanks so much, just ordered one as DS nutty about espresso since having a new sicilian gf - he will be made up :T

It's worthwhile understanding that a cup of coffee or hot chocolate works out at around 50p per cup. This makes the Tassimo system somewhat expensive when compared to a tea bag, or a jar of hot chocolate.

On the plus side the quality of the coffee is very good and cheaper than a trip to say costa and the machine is probably the easiest to clean after using requiring almost no cleaning at all.

You are right in thinking that no soya milk capsules exist and you cannot refill a capsule to replace the milk with soya.

However in the case of say, costa there are three products: latte with large milk; cappuccino with small milk; and americano with no milk supplied. I have no idea if these all use the same coffee pods .... " Anyone " ... but I suspect they are the same and you could just buy the americano and use your own milk which also happens to half the price of the drink to about 25p per cup (plus the cost of your own milk).

One problem I can see is that pod milk is heated by the machine and as the drinks are normally pretty much ready to drink any way, you might find that adding carton milk might cool the drink down too much.

Currys do not price match Sainsburys, johnlewis.com, argos.co.uk, staples.co.uk, tesco.com only
