  • I have received another interview invite. Perhaps its the back pain but I really am sick of the whole job hunting now. Have had 5 interviews, was offered one but turned it down, and the others I haven't been successful. Its hard not to take it personally! This post is for a 12 mth FTC which will mean if I was successful I would be right back at square one in a years time....

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
@Josiebabie - How rude, honestly, I despair of some people. I think they literally do not think of how others feel.

    Hello All

Havent been in for a few days. To be honest, this month has been a really hard one. We've found that there have been lots of unexpected expenses, and we've had to spend a lot on petrol. Its so annoying, but its been necessary driving so couldn't be cut. However, if we can just get through to the 25th without really messing up, we can start afresh next month when I know for a fact we wont have extra bills.

I have been able to flex my payments to myself this month to take account of the extra expenses (self employed, own small business) but its frustrating that the extra is having to go on bills rather than credit repayment, but the end is in sight on the CCS I think.

Today, after a mega amount of driving yesterday, we are literally doing nothing. Made mini cupcakes with my little boy this morning, but its a real chilling day.

Tonights dinner will be made using 2 chicken thighs to stretch to the 3 of us. Im thinking either chicken, sweetcorn & paprika home made soup, a chickpea stew with the chicken in it, or maybe home made pizza with the chicken as topping.

Its so cold today, so just snuggling down for the day I think.

    Good luck all

    Bob

Not a lot of DFW related stuff for me today, just :

    A 9 mile walk (after 15 yesterday)
    Ordering rechargeable batteries

On the bright side, tomorrow is a likely NSD

Well thought this would make everyone laugh. took the dogs for a walk and was walking up towards the woods when I stepped into what I thought was just normal snow, oh no it was a snow drift and I disappeared down to my waist. Luckily dogs could pull me out. :rotfl:

Just been asked if I would like to be treated to lunch if I can make it to town, roads seem clear now so going to pop down and try to do a bit of work whilst out so I dont have too much to catch up on.

hey Bob - what about making a risotto with the chicken thighs - you could use lots of rice to make it filling and add whatever else you may have - bit of onion, garlic, herbs, some peas and a squeeze of lemon juice etc?

That's one of my fave low cost dinners and tasty too.... Good luck and stay warm!!
