Post Office credit card

Hi all,
I know you are all most likely tired of all my millions of card applications, but I was reading on the best card for travel thread and I noticed the Halifax Clarity and Post Office cards.
I got turned down for Halifax and have just applied for the Post Office.
Just wondering if anyone knows how restrictive they are on applications as my job means I am in many different countries every day, so a good travel card would be very useful as not everything is covered by work...
Just to revise circumstances,
I'm 19, just started the job last month,
My salary (nor revised) is £25,000,
No real credit history,
Now hold 2 cards- Barclaycard Initial and Cap1 Mastercard Classic.
My credit thus far- new car on finance, insurance on monthly payments, the 2 cards and a phone contract.
Do you think I might have a chance of getting this with a low credit limit or do PO prefer people with a good or established credit history?
Again I apologise for all the threads about cards, as you must have gathered, I've very new to credit cards, but I feel a good travel card would be useful going off my current circumstances of being in a different country every day.
Thanks,
Jack

Are you cabin crew on a plane then?0
-
Hi Sharpy,
Yes I am0 -
Ah that was a lucky guess of mine lol! I lived with a girl who was cabin crew once, it seemed strange that when I went to the office for a days work, I'd come home and so would she, all I'd done is type a few emails, and she'd been to spain and back (twice!).
Unfortunately I can't help with the card advice, but good luck, hope it all goes well for you!0 -
Thanks! I'll see how it goes! Yes that's the fun part of it, getting home to see my mum has been in the office as usual all week and I've been to the Dominican and Florida!0

Aqua Rewards may be a good option if you don't have much of a credit history.
Then you just need a decent debit card, either Metro Bank or an N&P Gold Light/Classic account will do it.0 -
I would advise that you get yourself a prepaid card of some variety, when my other half was crew several years ago her cards were forever getting blocked due to fraud protection. Having a back up is well worth it.0

I would like to know how the OP's wage is 25k at 19 years old on an airline as I'm sure he would be on one of the new contracts.0
-
On 25k because I have 3 jobs (all declared to HMRC) and one of them is also a very well paid job- And my contract is one of (if not the) best paying in the UK industry...
Thanks everyone, I have unlocked unlocked and put a flag on my debit card for no international fraud protection due to being everywhere.

Since card issuers are on the hook for fraud (not you), I wouldn't rely on this flag that they claim to have placed on your account. Expect it to be blocked from time-to-time and then you can be pleasantly surprised by all the times it does work!0 -
Ah thanks for that!0
