How long should jewellery last?

I bought a charm from Pandora just over 2 years ago. It is silver with small mother of pearl hearts inlaid. Some of the hearts have fallen out so I took it back to Pandora who said the warranty is 12 month so basically tough!! Looking at SOGA and whether it would apply. It refers to expert opinion how long something would be expected to last. Anyone know if there is expert opinion on jewellery and whether just over 2 years is unacceptable? Need some advice before I go back to Pandora.

It's fashion jewellery if I understand correctly, so probably on a timescale closer to accessories than wedding bands.0

Having read SoGA, you will know that price is a factor.chiantigirl wrote: »Anyone know if there is expert opinion on jewellery and whether just over 2 years is unacceptable?0 -
With jewellery it can also depend on how it was worn, the amount of wear and tear, damage etc. I wouldn't have thought that a charm would be covered after 2 years, as by their nature charms get knocked regularly."I AM DEATH, NOT TAXES. I TURN UP ONLY ONCE."- Terry Pratchett0
