iva income error! help!
Hi
My surplus income was £57 now it's gone through it's 150. I spoke to someone a few weeks ago who was looking into but nothing happened. So nite I've emailed then with original budget and they are liking into this? Who's at fault? Me for not checking our them for error? What happens next? Thanks

It is your responsibility to let your IP know if you have an increase in your pay, it is likely you will be expected to pay 50% of the increase into your iva unless you have additional expenditure which can offset it?Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

Hi I have the same income as when started with them in December 2012 and understand that you pay a% if you earn more. My problem is they stated in original budget surplus of 57 now its 150 now the iva is completed. I did thinl 150 was a initial payment as budget they sent stated 57. Now they are asking can I afford it no. I psy 100 charging order then 238 mortgage they saying 150 I only get 500pm. Im calling again tomorrow. I need to eat and live!0

Maybe I'm misunderstanding here, are you saying that on the income/expenditure before the iva was agreed there was a surplus of £57 for your iva payment. Then when your iva was agreed they increased your payment to £150 without consulting you?Roll on DFD, final payment 1st October 2017 :beer:0

Yes. Sorry if a bit misled. Spoke again today and they seem to have no record of budget done in dec just on in January' which I have no recollection of! But they didn't say I did with them just I'd signed the papers? Yes I signed papers but there was no budget attached, but have checked online copy and yes there is one with the online chippy. I really did think 150 was initial payment. They have resent the 2nd budget of 150 for me show errors and will make appointment to re do budget and go from there. I'm really rather lost. I'll see how it goes but they seem very vague on who did 2nd budget and why would I need a second one? I tell you if it wasn't for bad luck or no luck I wouldn't have any:O0

Hi rivig99,
Just a thought if you are in the IVA-application stage. Have you looked at all your options? eg: have you considered a DRO or bankruptcy. These might be viable options, subject to what assets that you have of course.
Please do not allow yourself to be pushed down the IVA route at a budget you cannot afford.
We hear accounts all to often of people being told that there has to be a minimum payment etc, and then those customers struggling from the word go.
Good luck with whatever you decide.0 -
Sounds a bit odd to me, if i remember correctly we had to initial/sign the finalised budget as part of the iva agreement that went to the creditors meeting. Hopefully PP can sort it for youRoll on DFD, final payment 1st October 2017 :beer:0
