Still confused
So we can back out without any penalty if the solicitors haven't concluded the missives which can take a couple of weeks? If so that would give us time to sort out the mortgage.
As I could then in theory just instruct the solicitor to not conclude them until we have a formal offer couldn't I?0 -
Yes - the solicitor doesnt just instruct the missives withlut your say so. They will communicate with you throughout the process of getting the contract agreed and eritten up between both parties and then advise you it is now ready to proceed to sign the missives if you still wish to go ahead. You could have had your offer accepted, agreed all the contract terms and still walk away.
To be homest Im not really sure what you want here? I know from experience it is confusing and worrying but myself and other people have all told you the same thing now and given you links to gov sites explaining the process and you still want further reassurance?
It is noones interest for you to be legally bound to a property of which you cant get a mortgage.Saving for our next step up the property ladder0
