Half price YHA membership if you buy at the hostel

YHA membership is currently half price if you buy it from any YHA hostel i.e when you arrive(if you are arriving) at reception.As opposed to buying online or over the phone(or even automatically renewing it if it runs out I assume).
I know this because I just bought it!
I made inquiries but I couldn't get any information about how long the offer is going on for or any other information about the offer.
