HMV music - now 7digital - not working for downloads

I have/had an online account with HMV digital which I used last year I bought an album. Since then I changed my pc and wanted to reinstall the album. I opened up my HMV account, which seems to have become 7digital, and the album was there and I downloaded it as a zipped file. (It came over as a 7digital file).
However although it has downloaded the file it will not open in my browser. I get an error message "Windows cannot open the folder. The compressed zipped folder [file location and name] is invalid". I am running Win 7 and Google and have no other problems with zipped files. I tried logging into 7digital to download it with their own download tool and now get a message saying their site is offline.
Anyone know what is going on?

You sure it's not merely associated with 7-Zip or something else with a similar name?I get an error message "Windows cannot open the folder. The compressed zipped folder [file location and name] is invalid".
Try opening it with 7-Zip or something, then download again if that doesn't work; the file you've acquired is likely broken in some manner.0
