Gas & Electric Meters

Hi Folks!!!

I know I should not but I had too....

My son has just got his own house to rent (after help from me and his dad) as he cannot handle money very well since his divorce.

The house needed some refurbishment again we paid for this.

The house has a Gas and Electric meter with a card and a Key respectively.

I would prefer to leave them there and not change them to quarterly meters as he will run up arrears and I will have to stump up the bills.

What is the best way forward as regards to which company to be with?
I have put credit on both these accounts in past week or so and it hardly lasts an afternoon. albeit I only added £10 on the Gas card.
I was told that as the cards are from a previous tenant they could owe money and the £10 is not solely for Gas used but to clear any arrears?
Never had a Prepayment Meter before so any advice would be appreciated.
Eleanor

He needs to contact the existing suppliers and get the accounts changed to his name, this will also reset any debt collection on the meters to zero
