Hiya
I have been making my own farmers cheese using milk and either apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Today I bought some goat's milk (full fat) for 10p and decided to make some goat's cheese using the same recipe but it hasn't worked for some reason so I have a pan with 1 litre of milk with lemon juice and apple cider vinegar in, so my challenge is, what the heck can I do with it, other than chucking it down the drain which seems a waste.
Thanks in advance

Could you use some of it to make scones? I'm thinking that the lemon/vinegar/milk mix would be a bit like sour milk or buttermilk so it might work ... If it does, you could maybe freeze the rest in portions to use up over time, because I really can't think of what you could do with a litre of it ...0

Scones are a really good idea, I didn't think of that, thanks, we love scones with homemade jam, guess what we'll be having for breakfast, lol.
Thanks again :-)0 -
I'd use the liquid to poach some fish and then use it again to make a sauce. We call the sauce "Fish Cuisine" in our house as it's similar to the Bird's Eye one - fry half an onion and finely chopped carrot in a bit of butter, when softened add a couple of bay leaves, salt, pepper, (any herbs/spices you like really!) and then add a large spoon of plain flour (to make a sort of roux). Then add the milk/lemon/vinegar, stirring all the time, to make the sauce. Throw in a bit of grated cheddar and there you go! It's very moreish
(even if I haven't explained it very well
