my transgender partner doesn't get any mail despite sending out alot of applications.

That's nothing to do with being transgender, that's just part and parcel of being a jobseeker!

There must be still a load of discrimation out there - my transgender partner doesn't get any mail despite sending out alot of applications.

So if any one is looking for an unskilled, transgender - give me a shout

Perhaps she just isn't suitable because she has no skills - has she considered taking courses to get the skills suitable for the jobs she is applying for?

Most employers get so many applications that they openly say that they won't respond unless you are suitable.

I know she is unskilled - meaning not having a trade. She has worked in fast food and factories. Most of the jobs she applies for is in they fields, so can't understand - i know the job market is tough out there, i am just getting a bit down with it all as we don't get benefits and its only my wage.

Surely the term "ethnic minority" depends on where you live?? I lived in an area of Oxford where as a white English citizen I was certainly an ethnic minority!!!

I bet you didn't, unless you're counting a very very small area, such as a street or an estate.
