Members website?

Hey, I'm setting up a new site for a mateand want to implement a members area (paid hopefully.. :S). Does anyone know where I could go to look to find info about this? I've set up a lot of sites in the past but had to do this before. Cheers (and cookies) for all replies.

There are lots of site management systems out there. Do a google search for Mambo or PHPNuke. These will give you the site registration / management you're after. I've also seen successful conversions of vBulletin forum software for use as a content management system.
