Parking car away from home while on holiday

Hello Members

I am going away on holiday and I wanted to use my car to reach the nearest station and park the car in a street with no yellow or red lines. Can i do that?

Few questions
1. Will I be breaking car insurance rules if in my policy i have declared that car is parked at home on street overnight. Please note my car has GPS box fitted by insurance provider so they will know where the car is.
2. Will I be breaking any rules if you park your car in a random street where parking is allowed i.e. no road lines.

Insurers ask where you leave your vehicle most often. Many people go away with their cars or occasionally stay at relatives houses etc and there is no need to declare each of these.

The only possible problem comes if it is a very new policy and they see, via the box, that the car has been parked there 90% of the time whilst on cover and thus they may have concerns that you have lied about where you keep it overnight.
