Using IE9. Videos won't play properly(green or black screen with sound and no picture). Some will play if I go into (say)youtube and turn down the rate from the default to the lowest rate.
I've tested it on Chrome and the same videos are fine. I've tested it on IE9 on another computer and that is fine.
I've updated flash. This is only recent
Any other ideas, anyone?

Not all that helpful. I do use Chrome for most things. There are some sites, not many these days, that need IE therefore I would be keen to find a solution0 -

No, I'd say codecs are the most likely culprit and probably need updating or reinstalling.
See if this works - I use this tool on my media center

As for recommending Firefox.... are we on version 2913903 yet? One day it might be as secure as IE 6, till then stick to Chrome imo.0 -

Can't you use Chrome for when you want to watch video and IE for the things you need IE for?
You can have both and use both if you want to!0 -
Thank you to those people who tried to help as opposed to preach. The solution was to make sure that Active X filtering had a tick next to it.You can have both and use both if you want to!IE is your problem. Move to Chrome or Firefox
IE certainly has flaws however to keep it going is still needed. Look at the recent thread about the vodafone site however much better to give an unhelpful reply than to seek to assist.0
