Hello,
We would like to go on holiday in October or November this year and visit the Lake District for a week. We have a puppy who will be about 10 months old by then. Any ideas where the best place to stay would be to go? We have never been to the Lake District before so do not know much about the area best places to visit, places to take dogs etc. There will be two adults and a dog.
Thanks

Keswick was recently voted the most dog-friendly town in the UK, so that could be a good starting point for research

Thanks for your help so far. We would llike a self catering cottage if possible to have some space to ourselves and cook our own food but also go out if we wanted.0

Keswick is our favourite place - great walks, both lakeside and mountains
A couple of the places we have stayed, just to give you some ideas:

and
