FB wants us to verify our identity with personal info and government ID but how to we verify that the people we are sending them to are genuine?

I have just been wondering that too BlueBella, and thinking how scary it is that they will be getting loads and loads of passport etc details :eek:

I had to verify twice yesterday (luckily with the mobile text method) and once today, but I think everyone (most people) seems to be affected by this :mad:

Considering what happened before Christmas with the Norfolk Hamper Company I doubt they would help. The NHC deals were included in an MSE email, as I understand it, then when it all went pear-shaped MSE did nothing.

I sent my passport pic and then they emailed me asking for it again, so again I emailed it to them as an attachment with my new mobile number yesterday and still nothing back. Still banned and furious :mad: as this account I have had for years and is a real account. As for my passport, I covered the numbers of the passport with masking tape so it could no be seen.

Got blocked earlier and just had to enter the capcha code, although that kept telling me it was wrong when it wasn't, just had it happen again although now I have the 30 day block.

The share button is still there though, I can't like or comment on anything.
