Oh, and by the way. There appears to be no legal power that enforces the Work Programme to have you sign any documents. If they ask you to sign anything, take it home and read it first. Chances are the only thing they will produce is a data protection act waiver so that they can abuse your data. Please do not sign it and refer to http://consent.me.uk for a proper account of your rights.[/QUOTE]

The JCP do not need your consent to pass information to the work programe provider under the data protection law. The work programe provider are a partner of JCP under contracted provision so they are eligible to your basic information in order to to contact you to arrange appointments. If you don't want to work with them sign off and live without the benefits.

As for UJ from the first of march it id mandatory for all jobseekers to register for UJ and create a C.V. in your account. You have to either print proof you have done this or temporarily show JCP your account to prove this has been done. You can not apply for certain vacancies without an account so potentially refusing employment which can lead to a three year sanction. It is not mandatory to allow JCP access to your account but they can still match you to vacancies and the emphasis is on you to prove you apply for them.

Plus, I'm very sorry, but as a graduate of microbiology myself, I don't know any credible scientist who would ever disregard the importance of English.
When have you ever read a textbook or pubmed that was written in broken English?

I hope you do not think that I write in this forum the same way as in the workplace....Thanks but you too you can keep your advice for you because all this useless 'advice' everybody know and do it!

And for official report, their are professional proofreaders that deliver in less than 24hours.

I had my appointment yesterday and my adviser told me that the work programme is not mandatory yet for me since I have just made a new claim unless I requested it by myself since I seem trying everything to find a job in a month.

My question are : does the Universal Jobmatch efficient enough for finding jobs? What will happen I applied twice to the same job by using the Universal Jobmatch and another jobboard (e.g. monster or jobsite)?

Your questions do not even make sense. Do yourself a favour and look at taking ESOL classes.

I think this is a wind up actually.

    Incorrect

The JCP are the data controller and the WP are merely a processor. Which means, in terms of the DPA, that they cannot collect, modify or share your data without your consent.
Even though you dispute this, it isn't true because the WP providers do require all customers to sign a standard DPA waiver and it is not mandatory to sign it.
You do not have to give them a C.V. or any information besides a postal address.
Your curious use of the word 'partner' seems to highlight your lack of understanding of what the work programme is. It's a public contract being undertaken by a private company. They are not analogues in terms of data handling/priveleges, nor can they sanction you, they can only raise a compliance doubt which is handled by a DWP decision maker.
Also they are not taking strike action alongside the rest of the PCS on the 20/03/13.

    In regards of UJ:
You don't have to allow the DWP access or give them permission to email you.
You can upload as truncated a copy of your C.V. as you like. There are no DWP regulations pertaining to the content of a C.V.
You don't have to allow cookies on any machine that isn't in the jobcentre
If you do not allow cookies you cannot use the service.
The DWP have used the UJ Terms of Service to absolve themselves of all negative outcomes to the user, therefore it is in the best interest of users to minimalise the data they add to their profile.

So, were I you, I'd consider the safety of your own data before you go advising others on how to handle their's.
Chances are UJ is going to be subject to an upcoming legal dispute anyway because the data isn't even being stored in the UK.
I can also add that I have not been mandated as of my attendance on the 12/03/13.

For your information I have not wait for your 'advice' before to buy a good english grammar book...

    Really?!

Hi, this need some explanation (and sorry since i had confounded you with another user): every time I try to register it is fully booked and once JobCentre sent me to an english class but later they had made me stop it since that was more than 16 hours per week.

In fact, I had started to become an english-french translator (in goal to motivate myself to improve my languages skills) by setting a multilingual blog ( the site rank was ZERO) but JobCentre asked me to close it else they will stop my JSA.

Ps : If I can find an online english class or virtual english coach it will be fine since classes at college are usually not very efficient. I have however, just took a form last week from a college in my borough.
