No OP the Work Programme is NOT optional no matter who you are or what you are doing!

As I have stated above : 'I think it was to dismiss this 'new offer' and this is what I have done.

This means that I am now fully available for the work programme if it is requested by the JobCentre.

The short answer is 'no'. Your jobseeker's agreement should stipulate your full availability for work is maintained during the length of your claim.

What I will advise is that you go to the employer you are going to volunteer for and ask them if they will talk to the jobcentre about joining their employability schemes and/or that, if they have potential paid positions, that they reconsider your position as a work trial.
Voluntary work isn't out of the question and I believe the JCP have the final say over the WP whether or not you can do it. But you have to make sure it is as close to a portal to work as you can make it.

Since my JobCentre adviser is doing his best to give me sanctions (example : tell me that his computer is over for the purpose to prevent me to sign on) I prefer to stop any kind of volunteering work and do whatever 'programme' jobcentre wants.

Written English for IT engineering job? I have previously work in UK with 'my english'...issue occurs regarding my 'written English' only when people tried to undermine my job or reduce the salary (after a year at the same position...when we are closed to bonus date....).

Sorry if it offends but your standard of writing is not even GCSE level. Also even people in I.T jobs have to write things down and send emails and messages etc.Your not exempt from the written word.
Your unemployed right, your going to lose every time to someone who is literate.Honestly do yourself a favor and improve your written skills. Then you might be in the running for a job.
A decent employer will not have you when they can choose from a 100 other people who are literate.Fact. Take the offers of free literacy courses, they are geared for people who struggle with basic literacy. There is nothing to be ashamed about.

Heavy sprinkling of irony in that post!!!!

I think I saw somewhere that the OP is French. I do think that learning better English is a good idea. I also wonder why you are staying here OP. Do you not have better options in France?
