Indeed I have. With more to come. As the successful few bat on behalf of their financially illiterate colleagues. Easy to talk about I. What's more difficult to comprehend is the we . As its the we that will determine the future direction of travel not I.

Eric Cantona's quip about the Seaguls following the trawler was more poetic.

Of course as individuals we make little impact but as a collective are more influential.

I can't fathom how your above post is linked to your negative biased posts which never considers the factors which have resulted in the "direction of travel"

The Govt sold off council houses, created a gap in rental accomodation so investors have and only partially to boot, moved in to bridge the gap.

Had the council maintained and indeed expanded their council house stock to meet population requirements, you wouldn't have seen such a rise in BTL

Why not answer when I asked the question before?

I am an antiques dealer and know a lot about different areas of antiques so
    I thought you may know.
So you know nothing about the subject of Land Law.

I know virtually nothing about land law (it isn't remotely connected with quantity surveying at all).

Sorry I didn't answer before I didn't realize that I had to, do you have some power over me that I am unaware of?

Actually, I didn't notice your question when you asked it, I had to check that you had in fact previously asked me that because it surprised me.

I too have other areas of knowledge not associated with my profession, for example racecourse bookmaking which I did for almost 30 years, but land law, no afraid not.

Buying houses is different to buying land for development purposes which I do.
I would suggest people read up on rights of way before buying a house

Or they could just ask their solicitor (or a specialist) who is paid to deal with such matters of course. IMO It is far better to pay for specialist advice when required, for example I wouldn't read up on structural engineering if I was considering buying a house with a structural problem, I would consult a structural engineer (or building surveyor).

No I don't know anything about land law. I also know nothing or very little about bee keeping, yachting, mountain climbing, deep sea diving to name but a few, so to save you time I wouldn’t ask me about any of those either as well as a lot of other specialist areas (the clue is in the word specialist).

I do pay specialists BUT it is always best to do your own research as well.
A solicitor can get it wrong.
