Can you answer my question about rights of way. You should know all about these and restrictive covenants.
I am very interested in this subject.

Can you explain why a quantity surveyor should know that.

Are you a chartered surveyor or a teacher?

I know professional people who have a day job but also teach at colleges, Open University at nights / weekends.

It may be possible to do both.

Does that mean that the best boxer/athlete/tennis player etc is the one that has done it the longest? That's a strange opinion (sorry was that a fact?).

I know draughtsman with many years experience but struggle on AutoCad or Solidworks.

I know very competant people who are happy to be in the same role for years, whilst in comparison upcoming, dynamic, less experience professionals may have a more broad understanding of the business.

Sometimes length of service does not mean you are better in the modern world.

I had a chat with a structural engineer at a party recently(honestly we also talked about more light hearted things too) and he runs his own practice and he was really surprised at how some of the new high tech knowledgeable entrants to the market can provide services so much cheaper. I could tell (and so could he) that his problem is that he wasn't embracing the advantages of new technology which younger professionals (yes that is a generalisation) tend to do.
