Age UK don't cover pre-existing conditions

I am 83 and have a medical history as one might expect.
I followed the advice on the website to check if Age UK could beat the other insurers mentioned.
It was a waste of time.
After filling in all the details of my medical conditions they said they could not give me a quote because they do not cover pre-existing conditions. Why couldn't they say that before making me answer all these questions about my medical history?
Please update the relevant section on this site to avoid others wasting time.
