Recipes?

Hello, I'm new to this part of the site and can't seem to find any old style recipes. I've never cooked from scratch and am ashamed to say I rely a lot on ready meals, to the detriment of my bank balance and my tastebuds  I have a DH and a 2 year old DS so would love to start being a 'proper' wife and mum and cook nice homemade meals. I'm a vegetarian by the way but imagine I should be able to substitute the meaty bits in recipes
Is there a thread on here (that I'm not seeing for looking
) that gives some recipe ideas for old style cooking?
Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much! I knew there was bound to be recipes here somewhere but I'm obviously not awake yet (DS had me up at 5am  )"The path of my life is strewn with cowpats from the Devil's own satanic herd!" Blackadder0

There's also a Cooking section in our MEGA Index that has loads and loads more recipes. Use the Indexed Collections link in the resource bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
