Massive update

Hi,
I'm set for Windows automatic updates, since Tuesday, each morning when I connect to the internet, I get the wee download shield, it's there for a while, then disappears, then comes back. Thing is, it is now only at 63% download, is this a massive download?
I'm on dial up, but it doesn't normally take days, I even leave the connection open when not in use, to let it run.
Forget it, it's just finished.

Hi,
ha, ha, :rotfl: thanks.0 -
Is it possible to download and 'save' the updates and use them to update another computer?
If so, how is it done?
Many thanks for your help

I'm having big problems with the latest updates. My CP usage is 100% and everything freezes up. I've had to turn off automatic updates just to use the laptop. I've tried manually updating but it takes an age and then my internet connection drops and I get a message saying I have no connection. The connection comes back on immediately again. The fan goes into overdrive.
This is on a 2.5Mb connection.0 -
Had a problem too doing all at once, if you do custom install and deselect the IE7 one first it should install the rest. reboot and try the IE7 one on its own.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0
