fixed date overdraft with hsbc

Options
I have a current account with hsbc ans i applied for a 6 months overdraft with HSBC in June and it was approved for £1000. In December I asked for an extension for 3 months but only £300. This was approved and my Internet banking said under the tab overdraft expiry 10/03/2013.
I rang hsbc again to extend it as I feel it a good emergency back up as my bills go out the day before I get paid.
Hsbc said the overdraft will carry on until I get told in letter it cancels. I explained that in December when i did the 3 month extension the lay on the pone updated it online too. I didn't get a clear answer but that the overdraft should stay and unless I get a letter it is there Today I checked and now expiry date is 12/03/2013. I am just confused and very stressed and was wondering if anyone out there has had the same issue?

Why then has he an expiry date then!
  • I applied for the foxed term overdraft only and I renewed it in December without problems but now to renew it again info not understand why the expiry date on the Internet banking changed from 10/03/2013 to 12/03/2013. The telephone banking said I will keep my overdraft, tey didn't know about the expiry date depart me telling them last time hsbc changed the date on the Internet banking.
I am just not understanding why the date got changed with two days.
I was told unless I cancel it or I get a letter from hsbc the overdraft is there
