yeh...but some people decide to show that love romance and togetherness with a very small wedding, some show it with a big event...it doesn't mean either occasion has less love/romance/togetherness, its just different ways of showing it.
if you love someone enough to marry them then a few hundred pounds is surely enough to do that
so if a few hundred is enough, why is a few thousand (or tens of thousands) too much (in your eyes)?
    ...However, people feel that...
some people do....and some people don't...

what people do with their weddings is allll their choice...and nothing to do with you (unless its your wedding, of course!)...
One thing...that sets pulses racing...that gets hearts pounding...for which there is no substitute...only YOU can provide...blood.

Only 5% of the eligible population give blood: do something amazing today, save a life, give blood

You can have romance and togetherness on anywhere, a wedding is about a very public commitment to one another

Do you honestly think that if a lot of money is spent on a wedding, there is less special meaning? They may be no more than a simple event, but why would 'pomp' reduce the meaninfulness ?

I think a person can easily get put off track by worrying if the venue is right o if the party is right and the idea of love and being with this special person can be demoted to secondary.

Getting married is nowt to do with love, its about me wearing a big frock with sparkly things on, getting loads of prezzies and getting a good holiday.

Now turn the computer off and take the fuse out.
Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching
Save the cheerleader, save the world!

Don't do that or the following won't work properly.

Take 5 steps away from the monitor. Make sure there are no obstacles in your way. Run at the monitor and smash your head in the screen. Please.
This country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down
