MBNA Cheque Recieved - Offer not accepted???

Now i'm not one to complain when I recieve cheques in the post however, MBNA have recently upheld my PPI complaint and within the letter I recieved were details of the total redress they were offering.

The strange thing is that I never accepted their offer and yet 6 days later I recieved a cheque in the post, seems a little strange to me????

Has this happened to anyone else??

If they have upheld and you think you have full redress that is fine, if you disagree with the amounts, write back, tell them and ask them to recalculate.

I got a letter today also from MBNA, a short letter with no figures but with a cheque..!!
I was expecting a letter with some figures worked out since the FOS were involved and decided to refund me after finding MBNA at fault so I thought I would first get a letter with an offer but not what I got with a cheque enclosed!
To be honest it's more or less what I thought so I'm not going to hang around, straight to the bank tomorrow to put it in!

I guess they just send the cheque in the hope you'll just cash it and say no more, probably a good tactic on there behalf!
