How do I allocate a drive letter.

Please someone help.

I have just reinstalled windows xp.

I have two hard drives on my machine, drive C is ok, I can't get the other one to work. I don't know how to allocate a drive letter for it as when I try to do it now it's greyed out.

Thanks

    Click Start - Run - type diskmgmt.msc - OK.

To create a new partition (drive letter), right-click Unallocated Space on the disk and then click New Partition. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000 for more info.

Is XP installed on Drive C or the other drive?

XP is installed on drive C, in fact that drive is divided into two partitions.

It's my other internal hard drive is the problem it says in management that it is a healthy drive and is marked down as drive 1. I can't get to allocate a drive letter, the only option it gives is to delete the partition. I can't do that as I have all my photos on there.

    Thanks.
