Credit reference file clean-up question regarding dates
Hi,
My DRO ended a couple of months ago and I'm now going through the credit reference file clean-up process.
Having consulted the sticky thread about this topic, I noticed that it says: "Settlement date (where shown) MUST be NO LATER than date of Discharge".
On my credit reports, one of my creditors (credit card company) has the settlement date as 10 days later than the date of discharge.
I am unsure if I need to include this as part of the clean-up process, or if the small difference with the dates doesn't really matter?
Thanks for any help.

Settlement date "should" be the end date of your DRO, but it is a minor thing and doesn't have any effect if it's a bit late.
Important thing is that the default date is correct, and that controls when the whole debt drops off your credit files.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The default date is the day the DRO began, which seems to be okay.
So that should be one less letter I have to send off...0
