Barclaycard Initial credit limits

Hi,
Is there any sort of rough estimate of your first credit limit on a Barclaycard Initial or will it all depend on the applicant?
Also what sort of credit limits did you get with your Barclaycard Initial and has it been increased? And after how long?
Thanks,
Jack

I got mine whilst I was in uni with a humble £300 limit.
Limit now is 3k. It was 8k... But i had to reduce it as I was getting itchy for new gadgets.

Thanks! Just waiting for mine to arrive! It was approved on Thursday and I called to confirm I was accepted yesterday which I definitely am, but they couldn't tell me my limit.

    Depends on applicant.

I got £800 for mine last year. Didn't raise as after about 5 months, I didn't clear it every month.

Offered £300 when I first got it (18, white credit). Since starting to use it again 5 years ago, now at £2150 despite poor credit rating.

I'm just wondering what I could potentially get- I needed at least one card to get something on my credit history. I have monthly insurance and car PCP payments, but they don't seem to have gone on my history for some reason so A card would definitely help- And it will be useful for emergency cash for me as I'm in different countries multiple times a week with work so It's difficult to get to my bank :)

Barclaycard definitely bases introductory limit on something relative to your income or potential to manage debt - so starting limits can vary widely based on your personal situation. But that said, if you stick with them over the years, they may continue to increase your limits and have the potential to be one of your highest limit cards. I have 2 Barclaycards, and they are my two highest limits by far now.

From experience I would imagine it has to do with personal circumstances so is nothing that people on here could say as to what you may get.

For example my first barclaycard limit in 1999 was for £650, and then closed it after a year or two.

Just applied for the second barclaycard i have ever had a few months ago and got an initial limit in excess of £10K.
