If you paid an agreed amount during the six payments late period then this should have been reflected in your credit file. When this happened to my partner I complained that the entries were not a " true reflection of her credit account history". It could be an argument to get those entries changed.
We went direct to the debt collecting company( CL Finance) to get my partners file changed. As Kingstreet has already stated a Notice of Correction would be a good idea.

I'm going to call the agency within the next hour and will update then. And if not then a notice of correction will be placed.
I think the government need to get hold of this CRA process. It's too much in favour of lenders.0 -
Just called and the information they have is different than that on the report but actually it's slightly worse. I can't remember exactly what the situation was and dont want to make it worse.
I think I'll just put in a notice of correction. Hopefully mortgage lenders won't be too harsh as it'll be over 4 years since I settled the account and was not registered as a default anyway?0
