Tesco clubcard vouchers - Death of clubcard holder

My partner died recently. We had £50 of clubcard vouchers on his clubcard. As his clubcard was part of his credit card, the credit card gets frozen.
I don't have a club card myself as we put everything on his. If I get one could I get the vouchers transferred to my club card. As we were only partners our names are different. I don't want to lose the vouchers but need to find a way of spending them preferably when tesco next have a offer to increase the value, but if necessary I will spend them immediately.
My other thought was to spend the vouchers immediately using his credit card as the clubcard to identify they do belong to me. I can't now use the credit card
What can I do

Normally, in these circumstances - my condolences for your sad lose - Tesco CC will need something in writing.

All you need to do is quote his name, address and CC no - did he have an ordinary CC or just the Credit Card one? If the CC no is note available quote a voucher code - to identify is details.
Also, give your name and address, you could enclose a copy of the Death Certificate but it's not essential (though otherwise state that he has 'died').
They will set up a card in your name (if you don't supply a CC no) and transfer the current points any those from unused vouchers - and cancel the card, otherwise you're likely to continue to get mail addressed to him.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

No-one ever checks the name on the ones I hand over either. And to be extra sure just use the Self Scan checkouts, they accept anythingWe have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

Thank you for the advice. I sent a letter informing them that he had died and I now a clubcard and the vouchers I returned have been converted to points and added to my card. I now have some much needed extra money I thought I had lost.0 -

Hi littlemoney,
Glad it's all sorted out for you. Those points will get converted into vouchers in the May mailing.
Good luck.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
