About a year ago i bought Norton 360 v4.0 and a few weeks ago it autorenewed.
Over the past few days ive been having problems with the laptop and had to get it wiped back to factory settings. So what i really want to know is, i still have the Norton 4.0 disc. Can i just install it or is it now out of date? Do i have to go out and buy whatever the latest version. i always use Norton- its my antivirus of choice. i wouldnt use any other.
Thanks for any help

The problem will be caused by Norton. I have removed this from many PC's and I usually advise buying and installing BitDefender at £15.95 (3 licences, but you can get it for 1 machine). Check it out here:

This is the equivalent Norton product, twice as expensive and IMHO, not half as effective: -

a much bigger hammer.

So if i install the Norton 360 v 4.0 i have will that be fine or is there a more up to date version?0

You should be fine. providing you have kept the email with activation details with the renewal information or however they activate it.
usually done with serials with most antivirus software. Kaspersky, avast, bitdefender after entering it will check against the online database to see if its genuine and then it should work as it did before.0 -
I think you should be able to re-download the latest version by logging onto your account on their websiteHow do I add a signature?0
