I have been having some issues with tesco bank and have rang their 24/7 help line to be told to ring back in opening hours, then cut off
anyway, I wanted to get in touch with them to make a complaint. I thought I'd write an email....but can I find an email address...NO!!!
Only a snail mail address, surely this can't be right that a company can offer online services ???
Wondered if anyone knew of an email address (or beter at finding one than i am !!)

If you need to get in touch, you need to either ring them or send them a letter. Email is not an official complaint mechanism.0

The previous poster is wrong. Guidance in FCA DISP 1.3.2 (1) says "allow complaints to be made by any reasonable means"
http://fshandbook.info/FS/html/FCA/DISP/1/3
This includes email. Problem is getting an email address. If you can get an email to them and confirm receipt, your complaint is made and has to be dealt with as per FCA DISP.
I would recommend to any bank customers looking to complaint by email without an email address would be to email the financial ombudsman service and ask to make a complaint to tesco on your behalf.
Good luck !If you need to get in touch, you need to either ring them or send them a letter. Email is not an official complaint mechanism.0 -
Good luck doing that. Due to the amount of work that the FOS has to do, you'll most likely get an auto response along the following lines:
"It's important that you complain first to the business you're unhappy with – and give them a chance to look into your problem. They have eight weeks to do this."
You may decide to ignore this advice and complain anyway, but be warned that may significantly increase the amount of time taken to handle your complaint.0 -

You maybe missed a trick with your FCA quote though, to strengthen your case? Perhaps a better one would have been 1.3.1A, which states...
"These procedures must ensure that a complaint may be made free of charge."
Now as far as I remember, stamps cost money...and a call to an 0844 number will almost certainly cost more than a stamp.
Wouldn't that be a better 'challenge' to Tesco's complaints policy?0 -
Even if you manage to get hold of an email address, I'd imagine that any further communication would be done by post or by telephone though ie they would advise in writing that the complaint would be registered and they would get in touch once they have looked into it.£2013 in 2013 / £353.22 /£2013 so far

Nonsense
Phone the ombudsman free on 0800 0234567 http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html - dictate your complaint over the phone and they will pass it on to the bank - same day serviceHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
