Doorstep Preference Service???

I had a very pushy British Gas salesman at my door last night - trying to get me to switch back to them using all the normal underhand tricks.
I have signed up with the telephone preference service, the fax preference service and the mail preference service - so I suppose the only way they have of getting to me is to come to my door.
I really wish there was a 'doorstep' preference service too!

1. A very large alsation or rottweiller that is not fed regularly
2. A very small yorkshire terrier that humps anything that stands still for more than 5 seconds
works everytime
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
lol just imagining horny small dog (normally jack russell) humping scared gas mans legOther women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0

I am lucky we are a bit off the main road and we don't often get callers but I politely say "no thanks" and shut the door, or walk away if I am in a store. If they persist I say "look I have just changed supplier in the last month, I check regularly to ensure I am getting the best deal so I know that I don't stand to gain anything from talking to you!"0

Have to recommend Ivan's second 'horny yorkie' preference service. My dad had one of these little blighters that we had to dodge for years, so could be applied to keep unwanted relatives/friends away too!

I have a notice on my porch window - something like:
"No salespersons, religious promoters, free newspapers, leaflets ... or any other uninvited visitors" .
It hasn't deterred *all*, but the one's who think it doesn't apply to them are few and far between; when I answer to them, they begin their spiel and I just stop them, (politely) and state: "I'm clearly not going to do business with someone who can't read." point to the notice, which distracts them enough initially not to notice that I'm closing the door!
I got so sick and tired of each teatime/toddler bathtime being intruded upon by cold callers. Even though the kids aren't toddlers, I see no reason to take it down~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
