Yes I wouldn't ignore it, your silence could be misconstued as avoidance on your part if it ever got to court. I would contact them and explain it first (recorded delivery letter) and that should stop it immediately.

    You're having a laugh aren't you?

The notice should give details on how to appeal via POPLA (if it dosn't, it's invalid anyway) which you can do. Include copies of your receipts.

But don't be tempted to contact the PPC themselves or pay them.

    Keep us posted.

Just a small correction, you can only get a POPLA code if you've appealed to the PPC first.

Have just returned from Asda ...I had a so called parking fine on Friday land on the mat saying I had been parked for over 10 hours back in February. It was incorrect! Twits. I grabbed a sandwich in the morning and went back in the evening to do a shop with a client. I pointed out to customers services that that was my occupation and I visit regularly and take many of my clients there. I pointed out how angry I was and that I had been there twice in one day. I have e mailed Smart (Ha ha) Parking and asked them to show me photographic evidence that my car had not left the car park and return later on in the day...Have heard nothing back! Asda photocopied the charge letter and have cancelled it for me. Thank you Asda...perhaps a change in parking operator would be good! And think how much custom they have kept....Hmmmm
  • Nothing back from Smart Parking...am on a mission now....My list is not one they want to be on!!
