I did have a look there but they supermarkets near me arn't very big so very little choice. I make nut loaf and use a lot of cashew nuts which are very expensive in a small bag.0

Then I put them on a layer of greaseproof paper or baking parchment on a baking tray in a single layer. Fast freeze them then transfer them into a plastic lidded tub. Or a freezer bag would work. They can be cooked straight from frozen which is a bonus.
Doing them this way ensures they don't freeze into one big clump.
I freeze them in meal size portions in freezer bags along with the cooking liquid which adds a lot of flavour - especially for soup or veggie curries. Yes, it is a clump but it's an MSE clump!0 -

I use Real Foods for online buying of beans/pulses even though their website isn't the easiest to order from... but handy if there's no ethnic shops near you.0 -

International grocers. We've got a couple in Plymouth at the west end of the shopping centre, and they have all sorts of things like kilo bags of pulses and decently sized bags f spices for a fraction of what the supermarkets charge. It might also be worth trying Chinese supermarkets, as well.Better is good enough.0 -
I've certainly bought big bags of chickpeas from the larger Mr T's - from the ethnic section where they sell the huge bags of rice etc.0

I don't drive but will have another look in the ethnic grosers again. No big Mr T near me either.0
