I'd take the hit, sell and move on, probably before the end of the month, it is a gamble but going straight into the FTSE250 means it has to be bought by many funds.

It is in the sellers interest to make sure they price it fairly and that usually means a small initial profit on first day of trading, the 240/310 window allows them to do exactly that I hope, still a gamble though, all single company purchases are, the majority of my investments are with active funds, and that's where I'll re-invest the proceeds here.

this is my plan exactly also - i've applied, see if i get all i applied for - looking for a quick 8-10% and out - only one way dealing cost.

Same as i did with DL - i took 14% on it - DL was a direct entry to FTSE100 - this is looking like FTSE250 territory - the funds 'have' to buy it.

    I think it'll be oversubscribed.

Cut back by 55%, that's a bummer. Still, I guess the aftermarket should be reasonable, then.

Just for fun I went for £2500 and got about £1000 worth (40%) and on HL showing about £64 up.

But I might just keep them long term ;)
I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance
  • ESUR:LN shares are showing a +6% gain from the 290p issue in conditional dealing in first 45 minutes with 33M shares traded.

If it takes a man a week to walk to walk a fortnight how long does it take a fly with tackity boots on to walk through a barrel of treacle?

It must have varied from one broker to another.

Hargreaves Lansdown appear to have got 40% and allocated that across the board. I was with Barclays, who seem to have either got 45% or to have varied the % according to your application amount.
  • Selftrade allocation is also disappointingly low at 40%. :-(

I dont think I will keep such a small amount. I liked the Direct Line allocation method which gave everyone a grand and scaled back above this level. Seemed much faired.

Oversubscribed because FTSE is high I reckon, think I'll go for RBS and own DL indirectly :)

According to Barclays, eSure gave everybody a grand and scaled back (@ 31.4%) above that level. Maybe each broker makes their own rules??

Its true, its on barclays website. I will email selftrade and complain.

Under these circumstances I would have been clearly better off being a client of Barclays rather than Selftrade.
