You always claim to get very little LHA so I cant understand why your situation is so dire without it.
Its not the councils fault that you waited to do the change in circs instead of doing it straight away, especially when your husband could have done it as he is unemployed.0 -
When I moved back in November, my hb claim was suspended as yours has been, while they processed my new address claim. It took a couple of weeks to come through and in the meantime I was advised to carry on paying the same amount of rent as I was before.
If you hadn't moved you would've had to pay your proportion of the rent, so why is that a problem now? They won't be expecting you to pay all of your rent if you didn't before and if you get any 'nasty' rent arrears letters, just ring them up and explain that you have a hb claim pending.Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass
