I'm currently working in Norway alongside another guy from the UK. We both get paid pretty much the same, stay in the same hotel and go to the same few restaurants. what kinda tv? amazon have some very cheap ones, you just have to wait a week or two for delivery (which is free) you could probably find a cash back site to use with them too.
