stash the cash?

I have just sold my house and will be renting for 2 years (long story involving daughters, colleges etc...v.boring) . I have £60k that will be part of my downpayment on a house after that 2 years. Is just sticking it in an account along with an isa a year the best option? I have never been in this position before and it is more scary than I anticipated as getting it wrong has fairly big consequences (nice house vs poopy house!!!)

If you may want to use it after 2 years, I'd stick as much of it in a good interest paying cash ISA as possible. Then the rest I'd stick in a high interest savings account, the best possible depending upon access required etc.
