Hi can anyone tell me how i can get internet on two computers using a crossover wire both pc's have windows xp i have an internet broadband through a telephone line, the trouble is at the moment i have to disable the firewall on both pc's to get the internet on the two

you need to set up internet connection sharing

Routers are cheap nowadays, takes the load off the PC, added protection, and easier.

sorry for hijacking but am I right in thinking that if I set my router up I wont have to go through the internet connections sharing thing that is built into windows?0
