NatWest: Chequebook with Blue Debit Card?

Hey guys!
Happy Friday
Just a quick question, is it possible (from your experience), to have a Chequebook with an online (Full Auth) blue debit card?
I want a Service card that will work at Pay@Pump but I went into NetWest yesterday and they ordered me a new card and on the receipt it said: "Card Ordered: Full Auth". I explained that it doesn't work at Pay@Pump and he said the card must be faulty
My card number starts with 4751 28.
Bit of a random question really but just thought I'd ask just in case anyone on here knows from experience
Thanks in advance guys

I suspect, but am open to correction, that your card and eligibility for a cheque book are now separate. (particularly since the demise of cheque guarantee cards.
Several RBSG staff use this site who will be able to advise you more fully.0 -
The branch were wrong I'm afraid.... a "full auth" debit card requires the FULL amount to be authorised, rather than the £1/£2 usually taken at the pay-at-pump terminals.
Cheque book should be fine, try ordering it online through the "account admin" section on the left of the main page after you login.0 -

Correct. Anyone with a 'full' ie not Basic/Select Silver (credit restricted) account can have a cheque book. Since the removal of cheque guarantee cards the risk is virtually zero.0 -
