Whether you're a top designer, obsessed with interiors or just looking for a bit of decorating inspiration, then London Design Week at the Design Centre in Chelsea is where it's at. One of the week's highlights is a lecture entitled 'His Master's Voice'. The talk, focusing on the influence of great architects of the past, will be lead by furniture designer and author Tim Gosling along with a colourful panel including Anouska Hempel, Adam Hutton (Finchatton) and Dr Jerzy Kiebuc-Bielenski (exhibition curator of the Soane Museum).

Gosling is well qualified to lead this discussion. He worked with David Linley for nearly 20 years before launching his own company in 2005, making hand-crafted furniture in England for private houses and public projects, including pieces at The Goring Hotel in London and a collection with interior designer Emily Todhunter. And Gosling's latest book - London Secrets, A Draughtsman's Guide - is a celebration of the ever-changing face of the capital's architecture.
