Best option for park / sleep and fly from Birmingham Airport

Hi, we are flying from B'ham at 6am on Sunday 14th July, we have a 2 1/2 hour drive to get to the airport so we thought we'd get there the night before, stay in a hotel etc as we have 2 kids 12 & 10

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to stay, we like the idea of the Novotel as its very close to the terminal building but the park / sleep and fly package is a bit pricey at £170 for the hotel and 2 weeks parking

Holiday extras do the package, one night at the Novotel and 2 weeks parking with airparks at £95 which seems good value but how far is airparks from the Novotel?

Any other options? Hubby thinks we could just drive there, leave at midnight and enjoy the quiet drive to Birmingham but we'll be so tired we'll spoil the first day of our hols...any ideas please? x

There is an ibis hotel on the airport and long term parking on airport too. long term car park is only about 5 minutes walk from arrivals building. how much are they, booked separately?

Two rooms works, though. One adult and one child in each. Sometimes less than twice the price of a Novotel.

Apparently there is a birmingham airport travelodge and a quality hotel between the nec and the airport.

That sounds really expensive. We have booked admittedly for 2 adults with 15 nights parking at the Ramada at the start of June, this cost us £80. This was done through Holiday Extras.
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice
  • We are going in march but using the Sheldon Travelodge that is about 2 miles from Airparks parking. £25 for the Travelodge and £36 for 15 days paking after Quidco. The Travelodge has a Toby joined on to it

    Hi, thanks for your replies

I have booked at the Ramada Encore NEC where you can park for the 15 days directly outside the hotel (I was wanting to avoid leaving the car miles away from the hotel as on our return we can just hop back into the car and be on our way)

The hotel is a very short distance to the airport too so no further transfers between hotel & airport

The cost for the 4 of us is £92 including the 15 days parking.

I was happy with that x
